Short Halloween poems are October’s best-kept secret. While everyone else reaches for horror movies and plastic skeletons, the season’s real magic lives in a few dark, romantic lines read by candlelight. The fifteen short Halloween poems below were written for exactly that — verses of ghosts, black roses, midnight kisses, and October moons. Each is…
There is a particular kind of magic in dark romantic Halloween quotes — lines that are a little haunted and a little tender at the same time. Not the recycled movie one-liners that flood every October list, and not the cheesy puns either. I am talking about original, candlelit words you can actually write in…
Nobody writes vampire poems because vampires are scary. People write them because vampires are lonely. Four hundred years of watching everyone you love grow old and die does something to a heart — even an undead one — and that is exactly the kind of ache poetry was built for.
